CMV: ‘I’m not emotionally stable enough for children’ is a completely valid reason to get an abortion

With the advent of the overturn of Roe v. Wade and my muted silence on the issue, I realized that the number one reason I don’t believe abortion should be banned is that some parents simply aren’t ready(children are a massive life-upheaving burden), and if they’re not stable enough to take care of the child, they should be able to terminate it. I don’t believe this ‘(children are a gift lol you’ll figure it out) mentality is correct. I don’t think children should be raised by unstable parents, and I don’t think children are a gift if the person is unstable enough to kill themselves through drugs or their child through malnutrition. Children raised in these circumstances already have a next to impossible chance of rising above their station because of the environment they live in. So child abuse and child neglect should never be considered an option, and should be prevented by any means necessary to protect the child. And if that means an unstable parent killing the child before it’s born (and thus sparing the child anything) then so be it. CMV.<br><br>Edit: apparently I need to add ‘before they’re born’.
