I never understood why people were so clinical and utilitarian when they went minimalist.

It’s definitely a modern aesthetic that’s popular in the minimalist community to have lots of white furniture and blank walls. I understand the idea that you want to remove distractions, but I never felt like just removing any style whatsoever was the answer.
