I'm a 40-something guy and have been asked to stay home for the last four days for covid precautions.

First two days were Netflix and chambers and feeling really cruddy.

Last two days decided to start a new game on something I haven't played for years. It's an old SNES game, that I also downloaded on ios. So now it's a game I can play lying in bed with a fever.

This is a game that I played over and over back in high school. I've beaten the game a dozen times on multiple platforms. But I just found a really interesting way to be productive while still lying in bed with a fever.

this game has a feature called "new game +". You play the game once to beat it and then the second time through, you get to keep all your stuff and powers from the previous playthrough. If this is the first time you've heard this, imagine you got to play this game where you just get to skip all the first parts of the game where you need to build your character up.

You just get to power through right off the bat. It's very fun and interesting. I never got to play this game this way because I only ever got it one time for the SNES. I think I got it on the gba and ps2, but didn't play through it again in those versions until I got it on ios.

This has been so much fun and it made me realize I want to apply this to my real life. I want to go into new projects with the experience of past projects to help me power through the first parts of the project.

For example I have a business idea these days that's new but I have 15 years of sales experience and 15 years of social media skills to apply. And I want to work backwards. Instead of starting at square one, I want to go back behind square one, and work forward to square one. I want to do all the work needed to be successful in the middle of the process before I start the project. I want to gain all the knowledge and experience I need, before I even begin the project.

New game plus is very fun. And I think it would be incredibly rewarding to first learn the things you need to learn, gain the experiences needed to be successful...and then start the project.

I hope that made sense. Thank you
