Why are G43s still so expensive?

The G43 has been out for 7 years, and everywhere I go they are still outrageously priced (550-600) used and new, trade in and open-box.<br><br>For example, the G48 is $425 new everywhere I go.<br><br>Is this because the G43 is small and had no competitors in the CCW market for the longest time (XL and M&P 9C 1.0 are terrible fir small guns), or is there another reason they remain so high in price?
