I bred a guy but he doesn't want to raise the child. What does he do?

I see so many women posting that the guy is the father and wants the child, but they don't. What does he do in those cases? Is it legal to abandon a child after it's born? I've also heard that he only has a right to the child if his name is on the birth certificate. I'm just wondering what options this guy has.
