My parents are dying because they are idiots.

I've never written in this chamber before. I'm a curious guy and I always read the posts. Today I'm going to go off-topic and I think this is the right place to do it.<br><br>I'm Italian and my city is ravaged by the virus. I'm terrified about it. My parents are idiots and this what I want to say: <br><br>My parents are sixty years old, they have a little grocery store here in town. They are in the high risk group so they are quarantined. We are in a house with garden, we have everything we need. My parents are stockpiling and selling masks and disinfectant gel, they don't let me out of their sight, I'm the one who makes deliveries to their customers. I'm the one who goes out buying all the stuff they need. I honestly don't care very much since I'm young and I'm not in any risk group. I bring masks and gloves with me but I'm starting to feel really nervous. They are making me go out when I would like to just stay home and watch Netflix.<br><br>I asked them to stay home and they just say that they can't lose money and that they are doing it for the good cause, that they keep masks for their customers, people they trust. I don't think this is a good reason to put me at risk. I want to stay home, I don't care if they earn a little bit more money. This country is dying and I'm forced out of my house every day to do deliveries (with mask and gloves) for groceries that we don't need.<br><br>I'm not my parents' caregiver and I'm not under any obligation to take care of them. I just live with them and don't want to fight. I know I'm selfish but this is happening right now and I'm going to hate them forever.
