Putin is not our enemy

Communist here. I probably won’t convince any of you that this may not be the best process, but I like to think the world through from multiple angles.<br><br>So, why do I say Putin is not our enemy? Putin is not our enemy because he is not an enemy within. Yes, he is a genocidal killer, but he still lives in Russia. America has its own list of killers too like Kissinger and Bush, whom we don’t really confront with great passion. In America, there is a giant power structure above you and me. Putin is not part of this power structure. He is not in Congress. He is not in the Military-Industrial Complex. He is not in our cities, and he has no interest in your life.<br><br>And yet, America is also run by a power structure rather than by the American people. The president is more of a figurehead than an active participant in our lives. So, who is our enemy then if it is not Putin? Your enemy is elected, works for the corporations, and is in your cities. We must learn to live in reality now and trust that people in other countries, including Russia, are as scared as you are. All the war propaganda in the world is not going to change that. All the propaganda is not going to make you safer. It only feeds the military-industrial complex that is already destroying American society.<br><br>We must learn to accept that the world is the world. The threat is getting smaller even if it doesn’t feel like it. It is time for you and me to pay attention to power inside America. It is time to stop letting our elected officials destroy all the important things we need. We must stop them before they destroy everything. We must also stop them before they destroy the world. It is time to wake up, to focus, and to go to war – against our own elected officials who are not acting in our best interest. They need to be afraid of us not the other way around.<br><br>And finally, we need to learn to live in peace even when the government is at war. The government is not us. We are the people. We are the ones who care about our neighbor. We are the people who care about our planet. We are the people who care about justice. We are Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and every other religion. We are also atheists. But we are all humans, and we can coexist. What you should be afraid of is that your elected officials will use propaganda and lies to keep you afraid. It is time for you and me to take control of our own lives in the face of all the lies. It is time for us to focus on our own country.
