What is the worst tourist trap you fell for?

I once was at a tourist information desk in Prague and asked for a list of the best places to eat in the city so you can have local food for a fair price. The guy gave me a list with I think 5 places on it. Then I spent the next couple days searching for exactly those places, because somehow none of my maps knew them. Until we found one of them and I asked for the address so I can tell Google Maps to lead us to it. And then it dawned on me. He told me to look for a place in the next big city. About 100km away from Prague. I assume he either got a kickback from those restaurants or he is an evil man who likes pranks.
