I have a girlfriend and I'm still lonely

I'm a college student and my girlfriend lives in a different country. We have been in a relationship for a few months now and I am coming to terms with the fact that I am still lonely. I was lonely in my previous relationship and even before that. I'm lonely right now and I'm not sure how to escape this loneliness. I know that this relationship brings me a lot of joy, but it's not the same when we can't spend time together. I'm trying to figure out why I feel this way, but I'm having trouble understanding my own feelings. I think that I need to be more honest with myself and my girlfriend about what I'm going through. I hope that I can find a way to feel more connected to her, even from a distance. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I know that I need to be open with her about my feelings and work together to find a solution.
