I failed an exam...but my friends said I can study for it with them even if I'm not studying for it. Why?

Long story short, I failed an exam. Not the best day for me. But my friends (3-4 of them) were in the same position. We had an extra credit exam coming up, and I didn't want to study at all. I wanted to study for a different exam that I was going to take about a week later. So I told them I was going to study for exam B, not exam A. They then ask me, why are you studying for exam B? So I told them why. So I told them, and they said, that's fine, but they weren't going to travel to the study lounge. They were either going to study on campus, or at the library. I said okay, I'll study with them. But I was studying at the library for a different exam. They were going to study for their exams, and I was going to study for a different exam. They said that's fine. So we all went to the library. <br><br>It felt so amazing, I was just able to study with them, and I felt so much better and more productive.
