I compiled this from my own experience and online research. It's not professional advice. Consult your doctor or therapist for professional advice on how to study with ADHD.

1. **Plan ahead, not last-minute.** You might want to wait until the last minute to cram, but it's better to study over time. Set aside time each day to study, and make sure you get something done in each study session. Break down your goals into small, achievable goals and study in blocks of time. Set goals and study in short blocks and take breaks. The Pomodoro Technique helps some people.

2. **Keep it organized.** Organize your notes and materials in an organized way. Find a routine that works for you and stick to it. Keep everything in one place. Write down important dates and deadlines. Create a to-do list. Keep an eye on your time.

3. **Find your perfect environment.** Noise, mess, and distractions can make it hard for people with ADHD to focus. Are you distracted by noise, mess, or other people? Work in a quiet space. Is a quiet room distracting? Work in a noisy environment. Are you easily distracted by screens? Turn your phone off and buy a notebook. Each person with ADHD is different, so try different environments to see what works for you.

4. **Ask for help.** At times, a mental disability can be more difficult to handle than a physical disability because people with mental disabilities don't look different. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask. Your instructor, parent, classmate, or therapist will be more than happy to help.

5. **Stay active and healthy.** With ADHD, your brain is constantly running, and a healthy body helps a healthy brain. Make sure you get enough sleep. Eat your fruit and veggies. Exercise and get your blood pumping. Avoid junk food.

6. **Use technology to your advantage.** Find apps that work for you and stick to them. Good editing apps include Grammarly, Canva, Sketchy, and Keep. Focus apps include Spotify, Freedom, and Focus@Will.

7. **Set deadlines and sticks to them.** Procrastination is easy for anyone to do, but for people with ADHD, it's a lot easier to procrastinate than to do your actual work. Give yourself deadlines and stick to them. Make sure they're realistic and achievable. If you can't get everything done by the deadline, get the most important things done.

8. **Take breaks and practice self-care.** With ADHD, it feels like you can't stop working. You need to take breaks and practice self-care if you want to do well. Practice mindfulness and meditation. Take a walk. Sleep. Laugh. Do something you love and care about. Take time away from screens.

9. **Break tasks into smaller pieces.** It's easier to do lots of tasks than to do one big one, so break large tasks into smaller ones. If you're writing a paper, break it into brainstorming, rough draft, revising, and editing. If you're doing a project, break it down into steps.

10. **Avoid multitasking.** I know it's hard to avoid multitasking, but it's a lot more productive to focus on one task at a time. Remember, you're a college student. You don't have to do everything right now. You can only do one thing at a time, so focus on one thing at a time.

Remember, everyone has a different experience with ADHD. These are just some tips that might help you. Always consult a professional for advice, especially before starting any medication.
