If I catch a baseball at a Major League game and you send your kid over, you're the asshole, not me.

I've been going to baseball games my entire life. I have over 1,100 games attended. One of my life long dreams is to catch a baseball in the stands. Its not an easy thing to do considering the amount of games and how hard it is to be in the right spot.<br><br>The first time I was close, the dad next to me sent his kid over when I had it in my glove. The kid was about 8. I told the dad, "no, he's not getting the ball and I'll happily explain why". He asked why. I said "I've been coming to games since I was his age. Your dad never took you to a game so now you're sending your kid to get the ball I've waited 30 years for?"<br><br>He was taken aback and said, "Actually, I went to a lot of games as a kid."<br><br>So I said "so then you know how much this means to me and I've waited a lot longer for this than you, so your kid is not getting this ball."<br><br>He understood. I still have the ball. It was 1989.
