4th grade teacher here and I had a student do something amazing

His mom recently lost her hair to chemo and he apparently got his haircut same as hers. I didn’t even notice til he told me and this was a kid with long hair. Now they have the same haircut and I’m seriously trying not to cry as I type this. I’m a dad and husband myself but damn this kid is something else. Not sure what awards are available but I’m definitely going to try and get him one.<br><br>Edit: I don’t know if anyone is still reading but I just got off the phone with his mom and it was a very emotional moment for both of them. Also, I did talk to my principal and we will be giving him something at the end of the year.
