The chief executive of Slack will step down from his post to oversee a new artificial intelligence-driven office within its parent company Salesforce.<br><br>Stewart Butterfield, co-founder and president and chief executive of the cloud-based communication tool Slack, will be succeeded by Lidiane Jones, a longtime Salesforce executive. Jones is currently executive vice president and general manager of Salesforce’s Experience Cloud and will head Slack’s next phase of growth.<br><br>Butterfield will lead a newly created artificial intelligence office within Salesforce, according to an internal memo shared with the Financial Times.
