Spotify for books

There should be an app like Spotify that contains books that you can listen to. They’ve been called audiobooks but most of them are old books with (poorly) narrated versions. There is no centralized app that you can find as much diverse content as Spotify has (all the big labels are represented). There is an app called google play books, Audible and a few others but none of them have the content that Spotify does. You could have professional narration with good voices instead of what i believe is whomever would do it the cheapest.<br><br>Sure, books aren’t as sexy as music albums nor would they sell as much but it would offer a great service for people with visual impairments. Or folks that work jobs that can’t always have their eyes focused on a screen. Or even just a service that you can use while you’re driving.<br><br>The music industry, like the movie industry, have always been averse to change. Maybe book publishers would be different. This would pretty much be a business venture to take on. But I don’t have any money, I just have the idea.
