Something you guys said here, and on twitter, has made me re-evaluate my views on porn.

The thing I kept hearing was "why wouldnt you be anti porn? How does it make sense for you to care about women being abused and assaulted, and still use porn?"

I used to justify it because it was part of my relationship with my boyfriend, and I thought it would make me seem like a prude to say I no longer wanted to watch it.

After listening to you all, I'm done with it now, and I wont watch it with him anymore.

I also used to be pro-sex work, and I am now anti-sex work.
I was influenced by the pro porn and pro sex work movement on twitter where they said they enjoyed the work, wereOrFailing for better working conditions, and that it was a way for women to express themselves sexually. I've been (thankfully) disabused of this notion.

Thank you all for your brutally honest insight, Im still a work in progress when it comes to the patriarchy but Im trying to grow and you all helped me see things through a more complete lens.

Edit: I should be clear that by "I'm an anti-sex worker" I mean I am anti-sex work. It is an industry that can never and will never be feminism.
