When I wanted to reward my younger brother for getting good grades on his report card and wanted to buy him chocolate, the cashier refused to sell them to me.

She asked me when I first came to the cash register if he was my brother. I said yes. She then asked when we were going to buy the chocolate if he was 18. I said he was 12. Since I was the one who was buying the chocolate and not him, I didn't have to show any identification to her. When I told her this in a polite manner and repeated it several times, she called her manager and he supported my side.

After I left the shop with the chocolate, I looked up what had just happened to me in Google. It turns out that she was trying to bully me for buying chocolate to a minor.

I understand that keeping chocolate out of the reach of children is good. But that doesn't give the right to bulliy children who are buying chocolate for their siblings or cousins.

You can't even buy chocolate for yourself without showing your identification nowadays. I'm sick of living in this shithole country.
