My mom makes me so angry I want to cry

My mom is a control freak and she’s being detached from reality. I’m 20 and over 4000 miles away and she has a job as a manager at a bank and is always busy in the morning up to lunch and today she had a meeting.<br><br>I was doing my schoolwork in my room and didn’t hear her calling in the morning. She kept calling me and I didn’t answer because I was working. So she called my dad and said I wasn’t answering the phone, she told him that she was gonna call the police and report me missing and my dad said that was overkill but she went ahead and did it anyway. I found out what was going on when the police called me (I think she asked them to?). I didn’t answer and the guy called again. I told him I was fine it was just a miscommunication. <br><br>I called my mom and she was in a meeting. She said she was gonna come home from work to take care of the situation and her boss said she could go home but she said no. She said she’s gonna take the afternoon off. She called me again and we talked and she said she knows I’m fine and the police said it was a miscommunication but she said she’s still gonna come home because she needs to talk to me.<br><br>I didn’t hear her calling me before because I was doing my schoolwork and I told her that but she kept saying that I should’ve answered. <br><br>I told her I was fine and she said she knows but she still needs to talk to me and said something like “if something happened to you I’d be heartbroken” I’m in my room doing my schoolwork and she thinks something would’ve happened to me? And then she said “then I’d be wishing I’d taken the afternoon off and gone home to check on you.” I said it’s no use, nothing happened and she kept saying she knows but she needs to talk to me. <br><br>I know this sounds crazy. I’ve never heard of someone calling the police because their 20-year-old didn’t answer their phone but my mom did. She said she’d get to the bottom of it. Am I in the wrong?
