If you're a child, do you have a moral obligation to save up your money to live forever or can you live in the now?

When people say we're at the cusp of achieving immortality, I realize they mean we're not there yet. We have to live for tens to hundreds of years before we will live forever. That means any kids living now will need to live long enough to use life extension medicine to extend their lives indefinitely. But the money to fund all this isn't there. It's a catch 22. We need to live long enough to have the money to extend our lives indefinitely. It's the same argument against life insurance. The amount of money you pay to have life insurance is more than what you'll receive, because you are covering your own funeral. With life extension medicine, the amount of money you have to save is astronomical. So what is a kid to do? Are we morally obligated to save money and never enjoy the present, just so we can live forever, or do our parents have a moral responsibility to save money for us? This is a confusing issue.
