Bar soaps are superior to liquid body wash

\--------------

Ok, this isn't a hill I'm going to die on, but I'm confused as to why liquid body wash is so popular. I have used both bars and liquid body wash my entire life, and to me, there is no comparison.

A good bar of soap is cheap. Like ~$1 a bar. I've had them last for 3 months. Liquid body wash is much more expensive. A single bottle will cost more than 5 bars of soap, and won't last as long.

Bars of soap are far more convenient when you're actually showering. Every liquid body wash bottle I've seen has no place to put it, so you have to set it on the ground, and then you have to juggle it around whenever you want some soap. Soaps can be hung on the wall.

I've never been more disappointed in my life than when I put a bar of soap in a soap holder, and it slips through the slots.

Ok now onto the actual body washing.

Liquid body washes are too liquidy, which I'm sure you've figured out already. I'll have the bottle upside down, and I'll have to shake it for another 5 seconds before any soap comes out.

Liquid body washes also seem to not clean nearly as much, while also not creating as many suds. I shouldn't be making this argument, because I'm not a scientist, but a bar of soap just seems better.

The biggest reason I don't use liquid body washes is that they wreck my sunburns. I'm not sure if it's the soap itself or the suds or what, but whenever I've used liquid soap on a sunburn, it's like someone shot a blowtorch at my skin. It just isn't pleasant. This has never happened with a bar of soap.

But of course, I don't use regular bar soaps. I use more expensive 'gourmet' bar soaps, but they are still cheaper than liquid body washes. I'm sure there are some very good, very expensive liquid body soaps that will disprove everything, but they will also be more expensive than the soap I use.

That's my rant, thanks for reading. Also, if you're being serious right now, you're doing it wrong.
