I had this idea for a novel that I think would be absolutely fascinating. The premise is incredibly simple. In the country of Karea, which is a nation that fills most of the continent of Alemekai, the legendary land of Eridoria, floating high above a perpetual shroud of fog, mysteriously disappeared one day. Now in Karea, a country of no magic and no valkyries, the people are beginning to turn to religion in the light of this strange disaster. The people of Karea live in fear and doubt of their former secure way of life with no magic, no valkyries, man-made technology, and a powerful military that has now been rendered useless.<br><br>The story follows a veteran of the Karea military who is now a private investigator in the capital city of Karea. He is visited by an old friend with a wealthy client who wants him to investigate the matter. The veteran private investigator, who goes by the name Richard Deon, is reluctant at first, but eventually he begins to investigate the disappearance of Eridoria, which leads to a shocking reveal at the end.<br><br>Now that you’ve heard the idea, what do you think?
