CMV: Most Twitter users don't want to block or mute Twitter Blue accounts in their replies and DMs, but Elon Musk is forcing them to.

Hi all, I've been an avid Twitter user since 2015. One of my favorite uses for Twitter is reading through the replies of popular tweets, and reading through the quoted tweets of popular tweets.

I think Twitter Blue was a great way for users to make money off of their followers watching their videos. This is because users who watched those videos knew they were helping their favorite Twitter accounts monetize their content. It's win-win for everyone.

The problem is that now Musk is forcing users to pay for Twitter Blue if they want to see the replies to popular tweets. Before Twitter Blue, I loved seeing what the average Twitter account had to say about the popular tweets. Now, unless I want to pay, I am forced away from seeing what the average account has to say. How is this a good thing? How is this an improvement to the Twitter service? Why should I have to pay for Twitter Blue just to see all the replies to a popular tweet? Twitter should at least give us free trials so we can see for ourselves if Twitter Blue is worth paying for, but nope. They just started charging us for it without even giving users free trials first.

The main stream media is not talking about this and I think it's because the media either doesn't use Twitter enough to understand what he's doing, or they just don't know how important reading the replies to popular tweets is for a lot of Twitter users. I feel like I need to get off Twitter for good until Musk reverses his decision and lets users see all the replies to a popular tweet again. Twitter should not be forcing us to block or mute all Twitter Blue accounts, and this is what I mean by CMV.

Edit: I also don't agree that Twitter Blue accounts are happier now that they are blocked from non-Blue accounts. It's just lazy on Musk's part. Do you know how annoying it is to see a popular tweet, click on it, and then they force you to see that the reply right underneath it is blocked from you? It's so frustrating. Don't you think it's lazy for Twitter to just say, "No you can't see the reply unless you pay for Blue," and then disable seeing those replies unless you pay for Blue?
