I’m not gonna list all the reasons why remote work is terrible because it’s all been said before and my post history already filled with me ranting about it.

But I had no concept of what a Godsend it was to have a commute, to transition from “work time” to “family time”, to have a place to go to get out of the house.

The best it ever was for me was when I still went into the office 1-2 times per week and got to work from home the rest of the time. I no longer have that option.

I wish I could go back to the pre covid days where I had to go to an office, but the people who want to keep the status quo are so entitled and loud that I doubt we’ll ever go back.
