If you are agnostic, what is your approach to figuring out whether there is a God or not?

How would one go about figuring out if there is a God or a creator deity or not? It seems to be the most important question when it comes to the meaning of life, but you just can't seem to find any solid evidence for it, so you just become agnostic. But if you are still curious about it to the point where you want to know, how would you go about figuring out the truth about this?
