I am an open bisexual man, and I don’t like Yaoi.

This may be the first time I’ve actually come across so much hate in one place. I have been called a homophobe, a gay hater, a fake bisexual person and many other harsh words. Simply because I’m not into Yaoi. I don’t like it. I am not even sure why I have to justify my personal taste, but here I am. I am not calling Yaoi bad or attacking people who like Yaoi. It’s not my cup of tea, I am not into it. Just like I am not into horror movies. Horror movies aren’t bad, it’s just not that I like. I don’t call people who watch horror movies weird or anything. It’s just not my cup of tea. But calling Yaoi bad? Really? Yaoi is not bad, but you say I’m a homophobic who hates gay people just because I’m not into Yaoi. I am not into Yaoi. It doesn’t offend me, hurt me or anything. I just don’t like it. Yaoi is anime, and anime is my favorite thing in the world. I’m not “ashamed and scared to admit I’m bisexual and like Yaoi” because I like Yaoi or am I? No, because I’m not into Yaoi. I like Shoujo Ai though. I like girls. But I definitely like boys too. I’m just not into Yaoi.
