ELI5: Why do doctors always ask you to list allergies, even after they look at your chart?

I just had an appointment with my doctor where I had already listed my allergies on my intake sheet and they were listed on my chart. I also reminded her that I’m allergic to Percocet. She was still like, “are you sure you’re not allergic to any medications?” I get for people who might have listed their allergies incorrectly, but what the hell is she going to find that *I* don’t know that’s listed on my chart? I swear, I’ve been asked like seven times that morning.
