Small town dating and toxic people

My friend is getting harassed and threatened by a woman. He's not even dating her. I guess when my friend and I hang out, we're just two guys enjoying each other's company.<br><br>This woman says my friend is hers. I think she must think he owes her something. She calls, texts, shows up at his place of work, goes to his house, and tells him he needs to change his phone number and stop talking to other people (women?) or she will kill him.<br><br>My friend has been really stressed over it. He's had a couple of run ins with people just trying to go to the grocery store. I think now he might actually kill this girl if she kills someone he cares about (me).<br><br>I told him I feel like I'm living in a horror movie. He said he feels like he's dealing with something out of the exorcist. I might be ready to move, but my friend can't afford to move and is happy with his job. He'd have to leave his job to get away from this woman.<br><br>It is just constant. I don't know how he deals with it. I've been a target too, but I don't think this woman is interested in me. My friend is just a nice guy, but she is pushing him to a breaking point. He's not even a people person, but he's not mean.<br><br>I don't even know what my point is. It just makes me angry to think about it.
