What is it about libertarians that make it seem like they're most often more obsessed with the rights of people in power than the rights of marginalized groups?

I don't understand why libertarians have such contempt for marginalized groups but then put rich/powered people on a pedestal.

If I say anything about the failures of capitalism, libertarians will say that capitalism is a system that ensures these rights are protected and that the free market can police itself. I then say that the free market isn't so free when capitalism allows for monopolies to form and push out small businesses with the power of money. And libertarians will say that monopolies aren't the fault of the free market, it's the fault of government interfering with regulations and tax breaks. They will then say that if government were to take a hands off approach, then the free market would truly be free and it would make capitalism work as intended.

But the same logic can be applied to marginalized groups. Racism, sexism, homophobia... isn't that the fault of government interfering? How come the free market doesn't make these prejudices go away? How come capitalism doesn't protect the rights of marginalized groups? How come libertarians don't call for government interference when a woman is fired for being pregnant at work? The free market will protect the rights of marginalized groups if the government takes a hands off approach, right?

But libertarians will say that businesses can have the right not to serve someone because they're gay. Businesses have the right to discriminate people if they feel that it goes against their values. Well, isn't it a value to prevent discrimination? I can't say that, oh, I'm racist, so I don't want any black people in my restaurant. Unless the government were to take a hands off approach, right?

I guess what I'm saying is that libertarians seem to believe that government interference is the reason why the free market doesn't really work as intended when it comes to capitalism, but when it comes to protecting the rights of marginalized groups, government interference is necessary.

I don't get it.
