Do we live in a computer simulation?

So I was thinking. The fact that primitive humans got to develop to this point where we have current technology, it seems like this could happen again. There is no claim from science that we are the only humans in the existence.<br>So, it seems possible that there are a race of humans (in some other reach of the universe) who have surpassed us and essentially became gods. <br>My question is, why would they want to simulate us (somewhere in their past)?
