Shoplifting doesn’t pay.

Shoplifting, and the crimes that spawn from it (burglary, theft, id touting, drugs), kill people. <br><br>I’m a former thief who recently found out a childhood friend died from an accidental overdose last week. They’d been a shoplifter, and I can’t help but wonder if this could’ve been avoided. <br><br>I always had a hard time getting clean and sober, and I’ve only known a handful of thieves who were able to get sober outside of therapy, rehab, and other recovery programs. <br><br>If I could say one thing about shoplifting, it’s that it doesn’t pay.
