CMV: Telling your roommate you're lonely is a reason to evict them

As soon as a roommate comes to you within a few days of arrival and starts talking about how they're lonely and craves attention or says they need someone to talk to and then they keep bothering you to listen to their ramblings, asking about your life and background, and opening up about random subjects - it's a red flag. You should evict them as soon as possible. They're extremely low value as a tenant, because they're emotionally unstable and will burden you with their problems every single day. They're not a good person to live with because they can't even handle their own life and will make your life miserable.

Edit: I am adding an update. The person moved out after 3 days. They tried to do a partial refund and negotiate for a better deal. They said they changed their mind and didn't like the room after all. They even tried to pull a guilt trip on me by saying "I just feel like... you're not happy to see me or care about my well-being... You don't seem to like me". I replied by saying "I'm not your mother. I'm not here to take care of your emotional needs. I'm your landlord. I don't need to like you or care about your well-being. That's your responsibility."

After that, they started acting passive-aggressive and opening random subjects to try to get me to engage with them. They even had the audacity to ask if they could leave their stuff in my house while they went away to another city to look for a new place to live. I told them they can't do that because it's a liability for me and I don't want to be responsible for their stuff. They then asked me how much security deposit they owe me per day if they leave their stuff in the house. I said I won't allow it. They then tried to say "I'm a very responsible person. I'll clean after myself. I take care of things. You don't have to worry about anything. I promise I won't cause any trouble."

I said: "Look - I don't need to know anything about you. I don't want to know anything about you. You're a client. Leave your money on the table and go. I don't care about your life story. I have no interest in you at all. I don't take tenants to be my friend. I don't need to connect with you. I'm not looking for a roommate to chat with. If you're looking for someone to talk to, go to a homeless shelter or a park bench or join a club. I'm a businessperson. This is not my charity. You're here to provide a service. I don't need to like you or want to talk to you. I just need your rent money. So stop trying to make small talk with me. Stop trying to get me to like you. It's so pathetic. I don't care about you. I don't want to be your friend. You're just a tenant. You're nothing more than a tenant. That's all. Just a number. A client. A person who pays my bills."

They then asked if I was okay and said I looked stressed out or something. I said "None of your business. I'm your landlord. I don't have to explain anything to you."

They then said "Well... I think this is not the right place for me". I said "Agreed. I don't want you here either. I don't want to be bothered with your presence. I don't want to have to see you or hear you or smell you. You can leave right now".

They said they were going to stay there for a few more days and then leave. I said "No. Leave now. You don't have to pay the full amount". They asked how much they need to pay. I said I'll calculate the amount for them. They said "How much do I owe you?" I said "Nothing. You don't owe me shit. You can't pay what you owe me anyway. I'll give you a refund. Take your shit and go." They said "I don't have to pay rent?" I said "Yeah. You don't have to pay anything. I just want you to go. Get out. Get out of my house. You're so fucking annoying. Go! Go! Go!"
