AI is going to have a profound impact on society in the very near future, and yet not a single politician is talking about it

I'm a bit blown away by the lack of any politician (or corporate leader, or prominent figure in general) openly talking about the profound impact AI is going to have on society in the very near future. I know that by saying "very near future" I'm probably making this sound like doomer talk, but I'm serious. This stuff is coming **fast**.

We're going to have widespread job displacement (something along the lines of 30-50% of all jobs) in the next few years. Like I said, **this is coming *fast***. And yet politicians are still talking endlessly about the economy, crime, war, social issues and many others things that are important, but nowhere near as impactful as AI. It's baffling at this point, and getting more and more disturbing with every passing day.
