How is anyone confused about the recent updates?

I thought the big update in S3E11 of Re:Zero made it clear that Subaru and Rem's memories couldn't be restored. Still, it seems there are plenty of people confused about the recent developments in the series. Let me explain why it's obvious that Subaru and Rem are going to be okay, and what's happened to their memories:

Subaru and Rem's memories were stolen by Echidna, not deleted by the Witch of Envy. This means that their memories are still out there somewhere. It's obvious from context in S3E11 that the Witch of Envy couldn't have possibly deleted their memories, as this would be outside of the scope of her powerset. The Witch of Envy can only delete things from reality, not steal or take them somewhere else. If anything like this were to happen, it would have happened already, as she has been the primary antagonist for most of the series thus far.

Secondly, it's obvious that Subaru and Rem's memories are going to be restored in the future. This arc is centered around the revelation that Subaru is actually in love with Rem, after all. If their memories were to be deleted permanently, it would undermine the entire plot of this arc and render it pointless. Furthermore, what's the point of even making the big reveal that Subaru is in love with Rem, only to undermine it by effectively erasing it? The revelation that Subaru doesn't actually love Emilia undermines the entire plot of the series up until that point. If Subaru and Rem's memories were deleted permanently, it would mean that Rem and Subaru would never be able to express their love for each other, and that Subaru would be forced back into his unrequited love with Emilia forever. This is obviously not what the story is going for, and anyone who says otherwise is being intentionally obstinate and refusing to look at the evidence.

Finally, let's talk about the ending of S1. If Subaru and Rem's memories were deleted permanently, it would undermine the scene at the end of S1 where Subaru and Rem tell each other "I love you" in the mansion. If Subaru and Rem's memories were deleted permanently, this scene would be rendered meaningless, as Subaru and Rem would never actually be able to express their love for each other. This scene was clearly intended to be an important moment in the story, and it's obvious from context that it's going to be a crucial moment in the future of the series.

In conclusion, it's obvious from the context of the story that Subaru and Rem's memories are safe, and that they're going to be restored in the future. If you think otherwise, you're being intentionally obstinate and refusing to look at the evidence.
