‘‘‘Little Facebook’’’

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking a lot about social media lately, and how it’s unfolding. As you know, big tech is getting lot’s of heat over the past few years. Facebook especially is getting a lot of heat from these big tech scandals (FISA warrants, Personal Data, etc), and honestly, if you were to tell me 5 years ago that I’d be thinking about deleting my Facebook account, I’d think you were crazy. I don’t know if you guys have seen the memos Mark Zuckerberg released last week, but I felt like it was a PR stunt to make him look good. It’s sad honestly.<br><br>Ok so here’s what I have in mind, basically, I want to create a social media platform that has NO AFFILIATION with any government or corporate agency. My vision is to make it a non-profit type of thing, where we can give all the profits to charity. I would also make it so the Ad’s that are on the application are transparent from who’s creating them, and who’s paying for them. I think this could really help stop lot’s of the propaganda and the manipulation of the population. Facebook is also in the process of acquiring all these platforms, so I would make sure it’s very hard to happen to this. <br><br>I’m not sure who to reach out to about this though, as I’ve been getting very mixed advice. I also don’t know where to start with the legal stuff, like how I could do the whole non-profit thing. What do you guys think of this idea? Would you use it? Let me know.
