Today, two Palestinians were caught walking through my community's streets by our security. Luckily, the police were able to come and keep them there. I parked my car in the street. My house is only a few houses down from where they were caught. When the police finally took them away, they announced over the speakers to check our cars and houses and report anything missing. I'm lazy, so I didn't do it immediately. 20 minutes later when I checked my car, I saw that both doors were open. Both Bags that I keep in my trunk were stolen. This afternoon I had dropped off a bunch of food and baby items to a food bank and had nothing in the bags. But I knew that I had a bunch of spare change in there.

So I made the police report in my community's police station. And when I came back to my house, I noticed that my front door was open. FUCK. I went inside and checked upstairs, but no one was there. So I called the police again. They came and checked the whole house. My husband's office was a mess and his desk drawers were open. They hadn't taken anything of his, but took my bag. I had all my cash from my recent trip to the US and my iPod. It was a stupid mistake to leave the money there. When I asked what would happen to the Palestinians that were caught, the police said that they were just let off with a warning. The police officers I was talking to were fucking pissed about the leniency of the punishment. There is not doubt that these Palestinians were the ones to break in. 2 Palestinians in the middle of the day walking around a Jewish neighborhood and not speaking a word of Hebrew or English? It's not common. Go fuck yourselves.
