We have been living in an actual black mirror episode for years now. The only difference is that the technology is a few years ahead of whatever was depicted in a season 4 episode.

I read a post in this sub talking about a girl talking to her AI clone friend and how eerie it was. Then I started thinking about an episode where the main character spends the whole time talking to a clone of her recently deceased friend, and then tries to clone her in real life.<br><br>Then I thought about how the whole world is worried about the rise of gpt and other ai, when it was also a black mirror episode where the whole country gets locked down and eventually nuked by an ai that manipulates the government as well as people on social media.<br><br>It's funny to think about because a lot of times when we complain about new technology we often say how it's like it's straight out of black mirror or how it's giving black mirror vibes.
