It is the 23rd of December and I just landed in Rome. There is still snow on all the planes on the tarmac, it's like the entire airfield is shut down. How is this possible?

It's 8am, I'm waiting for my connection to Dublin, and they are blaming the weather. I'm sitting here looking out the window. All the planes are covered in a thick layer of snow, with icicles hanging off the wings.

The crew are all sitting there in the waiting lounge, with no attempt to clear the snow. It's like the entire airport is shut down, because of a 1 inch layer of snow on the planes. There is hardly even a cloud in the sky, just a slight wind, no precipitation.

I have traveled extensively in Europe, and lived in countries with snowy climates. This is the most shocking display of ineptitude I have ever seen.
