Hi. Everyone.

I'm seriously just a beginner in the writing department. I'm venturing into writing a short story for the first time, and I find myself struggling to create a story.

It seems like everything I write has the same plot. We've all heard of the classic hero's journey, and that just boils it down to the barest of essentials. But how do I actually make a plot?

My story is supposed to be a black comedy, but it takes place in a regular high school setting, which is a little unusual.

The characters I have so far are:

* The narrator, who has a lot in common with me (a hobby that is unusual for girls and a very moody and bitchy demeanor)
* The main protagonist, a girl who is very kind and very strong and very smart
* The main antagonist, who is a very typical mean girl
* The bully, a boy who is so over-the-top that it's almost comedic
* The best friend, who helps the main protagonist through it all
* The boyfriend, who helps the main protagonist through it all
* The little sister, who has a special power that is unique to this story and is important to the plot

So that's the cast of characters. Thank you all for your time. I hope I can get some of my story done eventually.

EDIT: I hope I'm not a disappointment to some of you, but I haven't yet written the story I talked about here and I don't think I will. Thank you all for your help. I have a couple of other stories in the works, and I'm learning more about the process everyday. Thank you.

The username I've changed to was the name of my main protagonist.
