The feminism debate thread

What's the difference between a feminist and a chad? One gets laid.<br><br>Glad that's out of the way. <br><br>It seems like every discussion about feminism on this sub devolves into an echo chamber. The usual talking points are:<br><br>Feminists hate men > Some do, some don't. The ones who do aren't worth your time.<br><br>Feminists want equal rights, but also want to maintain female privilege > Depends on the feminist, but I won't argue this point. <br><br>Feminists are misandrist > Again, some are, some aren't. <br><br>In my experience, the majority of self-identified feminists are more interested in feminism as a means of improving the lives of women than as a means of tearing down men.<br><br>This is not to say that there aren't a fair number of feminists who are openly misandrist, and I think we can all agree those people are obnoxious as hell. However, I think it's unfair to paint the entire feminist movement with that same brush.<br><br>There is a huge amount of misogyny in the world, and it's not unfair for women to want to fix it. Nobody will argue that women are equal in today's society, but the goal of feminism is to change that. After all, as the saying goes - feminism is the radical belief that women are people too.<br><br>So what do you think boys? Can you get laid, or are you just jealous of women who are trying to make the world a better place?
