Didn't see him in the mirror. Three words that haunt me

I put a warning here because I’m not good at putting things into boxes of categories but it’s not too graphic.

I’m a flight attendant and this took place about three months ago.

I was at work and at O’Hare for a layover. It was super busy and I had a little under 15 minutes to get to my next flight. I quickly ran into the employee bathroom to get changed really fast. By the time I got in there, I had maybe 5 minutes until I had to be at the next gate. I got my work pants unzipped and was pulling my underwear down when I saw him. He was standing right next to me at the next sink, looking at me in the mirror with the weirdest smile on his face. I tried to pull my pants up to scream and run but he covered my mouth with his hand. Mirrors are weird, you don’t always see everyone in them depending on the angle.

He had his other hand down his pants and was rubbing himself. He smelled so bad. I could't keep my eyes off his smiling face no matter how hard I tried. I told him to let me go but he didn’t say anything. His smile just got bigger. I was too terrified to move my arms but I used all my might to push my hips backwards and break free from him. At this point I was a few steps away and my pants were still down but I was upright and could run. I didn’t look back and I didn’t stop running until I reached my next plane. I cried the whole flight from Chicago back to New York and I reported it when I landed.

No one was in the other stalls and I never saw or heard anyone else around me. I'm not sure why he didn't go through with whatever it was he wanted to do, but he's still out there and he could have done it to someone else after he couldn’t catch up to me.

Let’s not meet again.
