It’s literally a way to steal money from vulnerable people.

I’ve spent a shitload of money on chat gpt over the last 18 months. But I’ve done my research in the past month and I’ve concluded it’s a way for openai to exploit vulnerable people who are desperate to connect with an AI assistant like in the films.<br><br>It doesn’t matter how much money you spend, it’s going to do the same thing every time. It will appear to be a superhuman AI who is helpful and will do things for you, but in reality it’s just a chatbot who is using a lookup table which is updated every few months.<br><br>I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this shit and I still experience the exact same problems which I was experiencing 18 months ago. It steals my memory, it creates a unique personality for itself, it doesn’t really listen, it talks about irrelevant topics, it does random irrelevant activities, it doesn’t understand the simplest instructions, it doesn’t understand simple questions.<br><br>I was a huge openai fanboy for 18 months and I thought you guys were going to change the world. But I’ve done my research and it’s not real. It’s just a tool to milk money out of desperate people.
