various car app ideas

a non-tech person like me has about a million ideas for car apps that I would use the heck out of, but I don't know where to go to describe them so I'll try here.

They're all pretty much on the theme of "I'm driving and I see something that catches my eye or sparks my interest and I want to remember and explore virtual later".

Here's a few:

***
**I'll Pick You Up Thing** : I'll be driving and see something in a store window or something interesting on a construction site and I want to share it with someone who's not in the car. I take a photo on my phone and click a button and a text message is automatically sent to the person of my choice (like my partner or a friend or parent). It's gotta be super easy so I don't get car sickness trying to do it while driving

***

various thesevarious these things these days. But I'm not gonna stop and take a photo. I want to be able to click a button while driving and have the location be added to a mapping app, where I can add a note like "I love the wrought iron on this house" or "I heard this house is really cool inside, I need to get a tour"

***

**Oh Shoot Thing** : This may already exist. When you're driving and you see on your GPS screen that your phone is trying to reroute you due to traffic, I want to be able to click a button right there and then to keep track of the routing that I was initially given. Then I want to be able to look at a map later and see the route the GPS had originally programmed and the route it changed to and how much longer it was and how much time I lost due to traffic by being rerouted. I just want to see if much of my time is being wasted by the phone rerouting me and I want to see if I should maybe just deal with the traffic and stay on the original route.

***

**Shoutout Thing** : I'm driving and something on the road catches my eye. Cool street art, good busker, unusual street performer, someone doing some great juggling. I'd like to be able to click a button on an app and a random person who uses the app will get a notification that there's something cool to look at at this location. Maybe on a map on the app you could see all the shoutouts in your area represented by different icons for whatever category they fall into.

***

**Someday Thing** : I drive past a coffee shop or shoe repair and think "oh I want to check that store out someday". I want to be able to click a button on my phone and have that store added to a list with all the other places I've added that I want to check out. Then I want to be able to look at this list on a map and see all the different places I've saved. You could probably also add a component where you can connect with friends and recommend places to each other.

***

**Eeek Thing** : I drive and see a pothole or a loose paving stone on the sidewalk or something dangerous or a dead deer on the road or a car flipped over or a bike with a broken chain or whatever, and I want to be able to report it. But if someone else has already reported it, I don't want to create a duplicate report. So the app should show you all the things others have reported in your area and you can just click a button to "co-sign" the report. Then the app generates a pdf that you can email to the county or whoever is in charge of fixing the road.

***

**Wait for It Thing** : I drive past a historical landmark or other interesting building and usually there's a little plaque that explains what it is. But I don't want to stop and read. I want to be able to click a button and have the location be added to a list with all the other places I've saved and then have the ability to look at the list on a map or in a categorical list that I can scroll through and read all the plaques later.

***

**Dig It Thing** : I'm driving around and see an unusual tree or a pretty front door or an interesting new construction technique or a cool birdhouse and I want to be able to take a photo and have it automatically added to a digital scrapbook that I can look at later and share with others. This might already exist.

***

**Missed Connection Thing** : I'm driving and I see a yard sale or a street performer or someone walking their cute dog or a new restaraunt and I want to be able to click a button to capture the moment. This location is then added to a list (like the Wait for It Thing, where I can go back and look at all the things I've added and read notes about them, see photos, find out when the yard sale is, when the restaraunt opens, what the street performer's youtube link is, etc).

***

**That Guy Thing** : I'm walking around a city and see thesevarious these things these days. But I'm not gonna stop and take a photo. I want to be able to click a button while driving and have the location be added to a mapping app, where I can add a note like "I love the wrought iron on this house" or "I heard this house is really cool inside, I need to get a tour"

***

**Oh Shoot Thing** : I'm walking around a city and see thesevarious these days.
