Communist arguments are so thin.

I'm a conservative and I was talking to a friend about politics, and I was like "you think that here (the United States) is a fascist government?" And he was like "well yeah, oops I'm a communist-obviously no communist government has been abusive" and I was like jeez, I just put my hands in my pockets to this stuff. You win, woke up one day and I guess communism is the default now.

I saw a tweet from someone saying that [a certain state] is the most socialist state because they have a public school and a government owned nursing home. I guess all places are socialist now...I really don't get the logic of how a healthcare system should be tied directly to the government and only the government. I just get really angry and frustrated with this stuff because I love this country and I love my life. I see the beauty in our capitalist system and the beauty of what businesses can do. I love seeing the random people who become billionaires and how they really do make a difference. I love how we have a semi-free market economy, I don't want to live in Cuba or China or North Korea. I love what our government has done, and even though there are flaws in our system, I just don't understand why people just want to give up our democracy and capitalism and go all the way to communism. I'm really really glad that there are people on this sub who agree with me.
I guess I'm just going to sign off here. I've been on this sub for maybe a couple days and I really do appreciate everyone in this community.

Edit: this is a vent, so no, I'm not going to "read Das Capital" or "see the beauty of communism" or any of that nonsense.
