I remember when I first started looking into AI. I was so scared that I was gonna lose my job because of it. I was more fixated on the idea of using AI to automate things than actually finding new things to do.

Now, I'm not worried about AI automating my job. I'm worried about getting a job that utilizes AI well. The reason for this is that I have found so many new things to do with AI. I was in a call with someone who is a content creator and I was trying to think of ways he could use AI for his content creation.

I realized that I could just use AI and automate his job. But then again, I think I'm lowering his expectations.

I mean, I can have his AI assistant generate the script for his video, generate the content, generate the thumbnail, generate the voiceover and audio, and publish the video. It seems like a lot of work can be automated but that's not the case. With every step in the process, there's an additional step to clarify to the AI and make sure they don't mess up. So, he will have to additionally provide a prompt to the AI for the script, a prompt for the AI for the generation, a prompt for the voiceover, a prompt for the audio and a prompt for the publishing. With every prompt there's a chance for error and he would have to check those prompts.

I then thought that he didn't need any of those things. He could just generate a voiceover and audio for his video and that's it. But the thing is, he could also animate the video to make it better and maybe even make a separate video in the background for different social media platforms.

I guarantee you that I've missed something that he could do in his video. The biggest thing I've learned with AI is that while it might be able to automate some jobs, there are so many more additional tasks and jobs and ways to use AI that it makes me feel like the way we use AI today is the tip of the iceberg.

I think I was also underestimating the creative process. I thought that AI was gonna remove the creative process, but I don't think that's the case. The first time I heard a voice with AI, I was blown away. But after a couple of minutes of it, I was like "okay, that's enough". I don't know if you've ever gone through that with AI. I feel like I've experienced everything AI has to offer and now I'm in a new frontier.

I feel like at this point, I will just be looking at new ideas to do with AI. I think that if you're worried about your job being automated, I think you should be excited. AI is gonna open up so many more opportunities for you to do new things. If AI automates your job, I think that's great. I think that's what you want. You can then focus on new things and new ideas.
