I'm a married working mother of 2 and a democrat. I do have something to lose, but I've never been arrested so maybe that's the push I needed to feel like I can do this.

I'm going to attend the protests on the 17th of January in my city, bring my kids and protest with the witches! I heard that the location is near the capitol building of my state. I've been thinking about this for days now, and I'm scared but I'll keep going. I want my kids to see their mother stand up for herself, my daughter and women in general, and the future of the planet that we live in. I've been discussing the witches with them already, but haven't told my youngest yet, I want them to watch and never forget. I've been discussing witches and paganism with them, so my eldest is excited, but I feel like the youngest will be confused but will learn.

Also, I'm gonna make sure to get charged with something. I want my youngest to remember the day that mommy got arrested for standing up for freedom and human rights. I want her to see the strength her mother has, and I want her to know that mommy will fight for you no matter what.

Honestly, I feel like this is the best thing I've ever done for my children. This is the best lesson I can teach them. I'm so glad I found this sub.
