My Higher power spoke to me today through an ordinary stranger

I was having a bad morning, Im working on my third year sober from all drugs. I decided to meet a friend for lunch and he didnt make it in time so i left and went to get some breakfast. Im sitting in the drive through window and a man comes up to my passenger side window and starts talking to me. He said "I saw your AA chip and i wanted to introduce myself". I laughed and said hi my name is ______. He said "I've been prayer for a way out and i think this is part of it." I said what do you need? he said "i just need 30$ to get a room for my sons". I said i dont have any cash on me. I thought in my head i need to go inside and get some money. I sat there for a minute and thought to myself that he was probably lying and that i had too much shit going on to help anyone else. I shut my phone off and walked inside to get an ATM near by, i knew there was a bank inside the gas station. As i was walking back i said to myself what if this guy is a miracle for me if i dont help him, what if this is God speaking to me? I went back out and gave him $40 and he was so happy. He hugged me and said you are a angel sent to me by God. I have been feeling hopeless about life and somehow i forgot about all that shit for the first time in months.<br><br>Edit: Since this post was made i found out the man i helped was actually homeless and not lying to me. A few days later and i am still sober and my outlook on life has changed. I am grateful for this experience even though it took me to some pretty dark places in my mind. Thank you for all the positive words and for helping me see that this place actually exists. Thank you to my old sponsor for helping me understand what is happening to me.
