If you spend money on an app, would it help you stay motivated and actually use it?

I'm curious. I'm a contract iOS developer and I want to build an app meant to help people stay motivated and cultivating habits.

But also, I've noticed that many apps, like answers and questions, tests and to dos and reminders and progress tracking and whatnot get to be a lot. And it's actually overwhelming to use.

For the longest time, I've been trying to figure out how to give someone the momentum and push to actually do the thing, without adding more work to the process.

I've done some research and I believe that having a system in which money is involved would help. (If you want to know what that system is, visit my website, join my email list from there and I'll send you a pdf with a better write up and future progress)

In essence, most of the cost of the app is just what you pay to save money. For example, the cost of the app is 3.00. But if you stick to what you say you'll do, you'll get 3.50 in return.

And I was wondering, would you use an app like that, after paying the subscription?
