If you make over $200k/yr what do you do with your money after you cover essential expenses?

I read an article on a story of someone making $400k/yr, in NYC, and they said they barely had any money left over because of taxes, 1.5M mortgage, private school for 3 kids, $3k car payment...

I don't make nowhere near that but it got me thinking ok...where does all the money go if you make that much and have to pay that much for all your stuff. I can't imagine having that much and being able to afford all those things and not just be swimming in extra money which I guess is the point if you make that much. I can't imagine having a 7 figure home and 2 cars and go to great restaurants and travel wherever amongst other things and not have a ton of money left over yet it seems like people still reach a breaking point in terms of money. It all just sounds exhausting and it kind of made me appreciate what I have.
