This sub has been created to facilitate a discussion of the western conifer seed bug, a type of leaf-footed bug (Leptoglossus occidentalis) that has been immigrating to the Northeastern United States from the Western United States for decades. It is believed that these bugs have been migrating east due to the devastated pine beetle populations in the Western United States and the resulting lack of food for the western conifer seed bug. <br><br>In recent years, the western conifer seed bug has found itself subject to the ire of many Northeasterners, who find the appearance and behavior of the bugs to be unpleasant.<br><br>Submissions may range from news articles, photographs, and other media related to the western conifer seed bug.
