Posting for the first time in this sub and I've got to say, I don't understand the hatred or anger some of you are harboring towards this sub and the people posting here.

I am a real person just like you. I work at a grocery store as a meat cutter. I buy groceries like everyone else. I am a middle class guy from a 3rd world country (its not the 90s anymore, I have access to the internet just like everyone else).<br><br>The only posts I've posted here so far are from a page I follow in my country which is against communism and other forms of totalitarian governments. They post info and news and what the government is doing since a lot of them don't make it past the filter. I translated them with the hopes that we can actually do something in this day and age. Not for likes and karma, but because I am worried. People are being arrested and dying. If you don't feel sympathy for them and in a few days won't even remember how this all went down, that's your prerogative.<br><br>You can hate China all you want, but they are not going anywhere soon. Hating and wishing that they would go away is not going to change a thing. They are a super power, they lead a lot of advancement in technology and science. The world is also built on trade and international relationships so you can't just cut them off from the rest of the world. I am not defending China. I am saying that they are here to stay for a while.<br><br>My country used to be a socialist government and it was shit. I am not defending any government. I am defending people who are peacefully protesting.<br><br>People outside of China don't know what's going on. They don't know the crackdown is happening. They don't know people are getting arrested. The world needs to know. And they won't know if people don't talk about it.<br><br>This sub is about awareness, not propaganda. I've been following this sub for a few days and most of the posts are about what is actually going on in China. I am not a ccp agent. If anything I am trying to counter their propaganda. I am trying to make people aware of the human rights abuse they are committing. I am trying to raise international attention towards this so that China can be held accountable. If we grew up in China. We would be brainwashed and taught to obey. We would be taught that they are the greatest nation on earth and that they have been wronged for centuries. But I didn't grow up in China. I grew up in a democratic country and I believe that parts of China are wrong. I want to help raise awareness so that China can be held accountable.<br><br>I don't want china to go to war with anyone. I don't want to see chinese people die. I want the CCP to be held accountable for their actions. I want those who have a voice to educate themselves and spread awareness.<br><br>I hope you guys can understand.
